I was Here Wednesday

I am stuck at that red arrow, I wish I could be at the orange arrow.
Scotty is moving to SC today and I will not be seeing him until Easter when I get there.
I trust the boy but he picked out an apartment, and will moving our stuff in without my input.
This puts control freak me under a bit of stress. I wish I was there to unpack, and organize.
I was I was there to see him, and I wish I was there, because it would mean school is OVER.

Home is Always the Place You Just Left

Such a fun link up from A little bit of this and that
I just had to join in!

Tuscaloosa, AL is where I have lived for the past 3 years.  I always loved visiting before I lived here, but I think I have grown out of the college town and not I am ready for bigger better things.
I do love that T-town as its always referred to, has a small town feel but has the perks of a bigger city.  Being a major college town has a lot to do with that.  There are more restaurants than one could ever want to eat at, bars galore and just enough trouble to get into.  Obviously the biggest claim to fame is the University of Alabama, that the entire city revolves around.
Roll Tide Tuscaloosa, its been real.

My REAL Home will always be in small town, North Alabama.

 I love HOME.
most people cannot wait to get away, I cannot wait to get back.
I love knowing everyone, every road, every house.
That's where my entire family is, obviously I am a creature of habit.
I am about to get a big shock.  See the orange arrow in SC?
That is where I will be in less than a month.
8  hours from home, 9 hours from my best friend, 8 hours from our wedding venue.
Number of people I know there :1 and I am getting married to him.
Number of times I have seen the place I am moving to : 0
This is going to be interesting.

In My Mind I'm Going to Carolina

And in reality. Scotty got an amazing job in Myrtle Beach, SC. Even though it is so far away it was an opportunity we had to take.I am beyond excited about being together again. For the past 2.5 years we have been doing the whole long distance relationship thing.  Its very stressful because when we do get to see each other we always try to squeeze in as much stuff as possible and never get to really enjoy each other. Being together again is by far the best part of this adventure to me. I went to eat tonight alone and thought about how I was the only person alone in the restaurant. That's me. I live on the opposite end of town than my friends so spontaneous plans are out of the question for something like grabbing dinner. As I was sitting there I realized that after this month I will never have to sit alone and eat. I wont wander the aisles of Barnes and Noble without someone to share my great finds with. I will have my best friend with me at al times. Come December I will have a husband.  For people who live together before they are married there is no real transition after the wedding, for us we will go from seeing each other once a month to being together 24/7. Where we are moving we know no one so we are all each other has.  This will be an interesting experience for us as a couple. In the beginning of our relationship we lived one street apart and were together constantly I feel now itsbas if we almost are getting to do that all over again. I am not normally one to be all mushy gushy or display feelings at all, but right now I am so in love with this man who will soon be my husband, the father of our future children, my rock, my best friend.

Hectic would be an understatement.

Today was fantastic! Tomorrow we start ARMT and SAT-10 testing, so today we had a pep rally to help the students really get into testing mode.  We did a Rocky-esqe skit that had Rocky beating "The Test" all the kiddos loved it!

I also got some amazing news today!  My Charlie Brown graduated in December and we all know how tough the job market is right now, well he has a pretty obscure degree too, so job opportunities were slim. He had been doing phone interviews with a company that is about 7 hours from where I am now.   Today they offered him the JOB!! I am ecstatic.  He is flying up tomorrow to visit with the company and make sure that it is a good fit for him.  Pretty much the ball is in his court all he has to do is say Yes I want it.  God has richly blessed the both of us with this opportunity. The job is in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A Beautiful place, and not MOBILE.  I was adamantly against moving to Mobile.  SC has an amazing school system close by that I can hopefully get an interview with.  We will be a good distance away from our families but this is a wonderful chance we have to take.  The even better part is that if Charlie Brown takes the job he will be moving my last week of school! So perfect.

What Happens to Deleted Goals?

So I had a page set aside for my 101 in 1001 goals and it has vanished...... Guess I was such a slacker that my own goals gave up on me.

I officially have one month left in student teaching.  I can feel the sun's rays from the light at the end of the tunnel.
Spring Break couldn't have been at a better time. Got to spend some time with the bestie :) Long overdue!
Over the break I realized how many more things there are in this world, other than school.  I spent more time with my parents than I have since I was 15, I played at the park all day with my niece with nowhere to go.  I played tennis, I got lots of wedding planning done.  I relaxed.....it was so odd. This is the first time in 5 years that I have even remotely enjoyed my Spring Break.  I cannot wait to see what life is like after college.

No More Excuses

I have been racking my brains, trying to decide what to give up for Lent.  In the past I have gone through all the usuals: cokes, sweets etc.  Last year I gave up the snooze button, when the alarm went off I started praying and got up when I finished.  This year I wanted to really change it up and try.  I've prayed about it and still could not decide. I thought maybe I would do a fast, but did not think I was prepared for that on this short of notice.  Then today it hit me: Excuses.  I always have an excuse for why I didn't work out, clean my apartment, put off my homework, eat right.... you name it and I have an excuse.  So for Lent I am giving up petty excuses.  When I plan something I will go do it and give it 100%.  I hope this breaks me out of this laziness rut that I am in.  Graduation is less than 2 months away this is NOT the time for me to give up.  I have one more day to be lazy and make excuses, but after that No More.
